About This Position

Are you energized by connecting with people and excited to share great stories? At Allagash Brewing Company, hospitality is at the heart of everything we do—we deliver a world-class guest experience and welcome visitors from across the country and around the world. Join us this summer as our Hospitality Tour Guide Intern and help turn first-time visitors into lifelong fans through our Tasting Room and brewery tour program.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll spend half your time supporting our Tasting Room- greeting visitors, sharing beer knowledge, and helping maintain a warm, organized guest space. You’ll learn what exceptional hospitality looks like during our busiest season and play a key role in creating memorable experiences for everyone who stops in.

The other half of your internship will focus on learning and leading brewery tours. With training and mentorship, you’ll build confidence in public speaking, deepen your understanding of our brewing process and brand story, and guide guests through a safe, engaging, and well-paced visit.

Your work will include:

  • Greeting, orienting, and assisting visitors in the Tasting Room to set the tone for an exceptional experience
  • Sharing beer knowledge and supporting retail sales using our Arryved POS
  • Restocking, cleaning, and keeping guest spaces organized and ready
  • Learning Allagash history, brewing basics, and our brand story
  • Leading safe, engaging tours—managing group timing and flow so every guest feels welcomed and included
  • Answering guest questions and providing responsible beer education
  • Partnering with our Hospitality and Production teams to keep tour spaces safe, clean, and welcoming

What You’ll Learn

The internship is designed to build real-world skills in hospitality, public speaking, and guest engagement. Throughout the summer, you’ll learn how we deliver consistent, world-class service and develop:

  • Strong communication and guest-service skills
  • Confidence leading visitor groups and speaking to diverse audiences
  • A deeper understanding of brewing processes and craft beer education
  • Practical experience across both Tasting Room operations and guided tours
  • Insight into how an independent, values-driven brewery connects with visitors

You’ll train closely with experienced team members and gain exposure to what makes our B Corp-certified brewery and guest experience unique.
