Position Summary
The Manager, Clinical Workflow & EMR Proficiency will drive standardization and optimization of clinical workflows and applications, leading training, adoption, and data-driven proficiency improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
3.1 Workflow Standardization
· Partner with the VP of Clinical Operations and CMO to define standard Elation workflows for key clinical tasks: documentation, order entry, care gap management, referrals, and patient communication.
· Identify and close gaps between defined workflows and actual provider behavior across all 14 clinic sites.
· Work with Physician Champions to build peer credibility for workflow standards and support adoption within the physician community.
· Escalate to the Physician Executive Committee when standardization requires formal governance-level reinforcement.
· Surface workflow-driven enhancement opportunities to the IT Clinical Applications team and incoming Product Manager for Elation configuration improvements.
3.2 Training Design & Delivery
· Design and deliver targeted proficiency training using multiple modalities: one-on-one coaching, live group sessions, and computer-based training (CBT) modules served via the LMS.
· For CBT content, develop structured inputs — scripts, workflows, scenario outlines — to be produced by Suvida’s in-house content developer using AI-assisted authoring tools.
· Differentiate training by role (physicians, nurses, MAs) and by proficiency level, rather than applying a single onboarding-level curriculum to all users.
· Shift the training model from Day 1 orientation to continuous proficiency improvement, with scheduled reassessment cadences and just-in-time support.
· Work alongside and provide direction to the existing Clinical Trainer, leveraging her provider relationships and operational knowledge.
3.3 Proficiency Measurement & Continuous Improvement
· Establish a baseline of current provider proficiency using Elation analytics and Managed Services reporting capabilities.
· Define a core set of proficiency metrics — such as after-hours login frequency, feature adoption rates, and documentation completion times — and report on them on a regular cadence.
· Use data to prioritize where training intervention will have the greatest impact and to demonstrate improvement over time.
· Conduct periodic proficiency assessments and site-level observations to identify regression or newly emerging gaps.
· Report progress to IT Leadership, VP Clinical Ops, and CMO as part of the operating plan review cycle.
What You’ll Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Demonstrated experience driving EMR workflow adoption or clinical process improvement, ideally in a multi-site environment.
· Proven ability to design and deliver adult learning programs, including both live and self-paced training formats.
· Comfort working with and influencing physicians, including navigating the realities of medical hierarchy and provider autonomy.
· A proactive, data-oriented mindset: someone who sees unexplained variability as a problem to be solved, not an acceptable status quo.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to take charge in a room and the judgment to know when to listen.
· 5+ years of experience in Data, Analytics, or a similar role.
· 3+ years of experience with modern cloud-based data tools for extraction, warehousing, transformation, and orchestration. Snowflake and DBT are preferred.
· Familiarity with setting up CI/CD data pipelines with observability and fault tolerance.
· Familiarity with DAG principles
· Proficient in SQL, Python and have a strong working knowledge of software engineering workflow tools (version control, testing principles, etc.)
· Proven ability to model data for reporting, analytics use cases
· Experience and strong interest in the analytics side of data, e.g., collecting requirements, defining and implementing metrics, developing dashboards
· Healthcare experience, specifically value-based care, a plus
· Prior experience with Elation or a comparable ambulatory/primary care EMR.
• Familiarity with Value-Based Care models and the quality metrics most relevant to Medicare Advantage populations.
• Experience developing content inputs for CBT or e-learning platforms (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise).
• Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) or clinical informatics.
Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
· RN, NP, PA license or equivalent clinical background with direct experience in a primary care or ambulatory setting. Foreign trained MD with qualifications preferred.
