About This Position

Job Summary

The Scrap Transaction Specialist is responsible for executing and managing quality-related transactions within SAP and Oracle ERP systems. This role supports manufacturing quality operations by ensuring accurate material movements, scrap postings, and inventory control activities. The position maintains strict material traceability, supports Material Review Board (MRB) processes, and ensures compliance with company procedures and quality standards within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute and monitor SAP material movements, ensuring accurate posting of goods receipts, goods issues, scrap transactions, rework, and stock transfers.
  • Manage stock type transitions (Quality, Blocked, Unrestricted) and maintain strict batch-controlled material traceability across all ERP transactions.
  • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities by documenting, processing, and tracking non-conforming materials in SAP and Oracle ERP systems.
  • Process and monitor scrap postings, rework transactions, and material disposition decisions in accordance with MRB approvals and quality standards.
  • Generate and track scrap transaction reports, including scrap trend analysis, variance reporting, and cost impact evaluation.
  • Investigate and resolve SAP posting errors, batch discrepancies, and inventory mismatches to ensure alignment between system records and physical inventory.
  • Perform inventory reconciliation, support cycle counts, and assist with month-end inventory validation and reporting.
  • Process and maintain quality-related transactions within Oracle ERP while ensuring accuracy of material master data and batch records.
  • Support reconciliation between SAP and Oracle systems in accordance with internal SOPs and ERP governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure proper stock segregation, accurate material movements, and timely resolution of material issues.
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and ensure ERP transactions comply with ISO 9001 and company quality management standards.
  • Analyze ERP data to identify trends in scrap, defects, and inventory variances to support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other tasks related to scrap management and material disposition processes as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, quality control, or inventory management.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory and material transactions.
  • Understanding of batch-controlled materials, inventory movements, and material traceability processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate system records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality, and warehouse operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with both SAP and Oracle ERP systems.
  • Experience supporting Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation, scrap reporting, and manufacturing quality processes.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments. The role may require interaction with production and warehouse areas within the facility. Employees must follow safety guidelines and may be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering production areas.
