Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF), in Evanston, IL, has an Opening for a Director of Nursing (DON). Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).

Salary of $115 to $125k, Depending upon Qualifications, Plus Benefits.

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to support to the residents and their families
• Supervise scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted service
• Interviewing and hiring clinical staff
• Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting
• Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Executive Director's approval
• Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Executive Director
• Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
• Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
• Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator to ensure that all MDS forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner

• Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience, preferably in a psych facility
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
• Nursing experience in a residential mental health setting required
• Clinical and supervisory experience required
• Previous hospital and/or long term care facility experience required
