This is a senior executive leadership role responsible for scaling and guiding a global engineering organization building a next-generation cloud platform for the life insurance industry. You will oversee distributed teams across the United States, India, and Latin America, ensuring alignment, execution excellence, and strong technical delivery across regions. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational rigor, requiring the ability to shape engineering culture while scaling systems, processes, and talent. You will partner closely with product, architecture, and executive leadership to translate business strategy into scalable technical execution. Accountabilities:

Lead and scale a global engineering organization across the United States, India, and Latin America, ensuring alignment, consistency, and strong execution across all teams.
Design and evolve a multi-layered engineering structure, mentoring directors and engineering managers to support organizational growth and delivery excellence.
Build and scale hiring systems, including partnerships with recruiting teams, to attract and retain top engineering talent aligned with modern development practices.
Establish strong talent development frameworks, including performance management, career progression paths, and leadership coaching across all levels.
Drive operational excellence through robust CI/CD pipelines, security practices, and performance monitoring across distributed systems.
Champion engineering efficiency by promoting continuous improvement practices, including adoption of modern AI-enabled development tools.
Ensure strong technical alignment across engineering, architecture, product, and executive stakeholders on system design and roadmap priorities.
Maintain high standards of execution, delivery quality, and organizational scalability in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment.

Requirements:

15+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles (VP or senior Director level).
Proven experience leading and scaling large, distributed engineering organizations across multiple geographies.
Strong background managing engineering teams in India and Latin America, with sensitivity to global team dynamics and culture.
Experience building enterprise SaaS or highly configurable software platforms with systems integration and professional services components.
Deep understanding of modern cloud architectures (AWS), distributed systems, and web technologies such as TypeScript and React.
Demonstrated ability to align engineering execution with product strategy and business outcomes in complex environments.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence executives and inspire engineering teams.
Experience guiding organizations through rapid growth, transformation, and scaling phases.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Startup or high-growth company experience with an agile, adaptable mindset is essential.
