- Lead the development of large-scale backend projects and contribute to cross-team engineering initiatives
- Design, build, and maintain robust APIs, integrations, and backend services
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to propose and implement technical solutions
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through best engineering practices
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of the codebase
- Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a strong technical culture
- Contribute to platform improvements, including automation workflows and agent-based execution systems
- Implement verification processes (tests, checks, guardrails) to ensure high-quality outputs
- Engage in team-wide activities such as hiring, support rotations, and technical discussions
- Strong backend engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure production systems
- Solid experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar)
- Ability to design systems end-to-end, from specification to implementation and validation
- Experience with or interest in automation workflows, AI-driven systems, or agent-based architectures
- Proficiency in breaking down complex problems and delivering iterative improvements
- Familiarity with functional programming languages (Elixir, Erlang, Scala, Clojure, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is advantageous
- Exposure to modern frontend technologies (React, Next.js, or similar) is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote, asynchronous work environment
- Competitive salary ranging from $53,300 to $119,850 USD (based on location, skills, and experience)
