About This Position
The Construction Coordinator is an energetic and organized field support role responsible for facilitating smooth operations across Buildforth by Paradigm's active construction sites. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this position provides practical, day-to-day support to site teams, Superintendents, and project stakeholders. The Construction Coordinator travels between project sites to deliver materials and equipment, assist with coordination tasks, gather and relay critical field information, and ensure that logistics and communication flow efficiently. Site Support & Field Coordination
- Travel between project sites to provide on-the-ground support to Superintendents and site crews.
- Assist with day-to-day coordination tasks including scheduling and task follow-up.
- Act as a liaison between the Construction Manager, Project Managers, and site teams to ensure alignment on priorities.
- Identify and communicate site issues, delays, or resource needs to the appropriate team members promptly.
- Support Superintendents during busy periods or when additional coordination capacity is needed.
Logistics & Materials Handling
- Coordinate and execute delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to project sites as required.
- Track material orders, confirm delivery schedules, and resolve logistics issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with site receiving, inventory checks, and material/tool storage organization.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to confirm orders and coordinate delivery timing.
Troubleshooting Coordination
- Facilitate communication between site teams and internal departments when technical issues arise.
- Gather information from the field and coordinate with the Construction Manager or relevant experts to support problem resolution.
- Follow up on outstanding action items and ensure issues are tracked and closed out efficiently.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, deliveries, coordination activities, and follow-up items.
- Assist with preparation of site reports, daily logs, and project documentation as directed.
- Ensure consistent documentation practices are followed across all sites.
- Communicate clearly and professionally via email, phone, and in person with all project stakeholders.
- Support in Development of ITP and various processes supporting site operations.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and site-specific requirements at all times.
- Support a safety-first culture by modelling safe behaviours and reporting any observed hazards.
- Ensure materials and equipment are handled and transported safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- 3-5 years of experience in a construction, trades, or project coordination role.
- Basic understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents and site plans is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general email communication; familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
- Bluebeam REVU experience considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving abstract — this role involves frequent travel between project sites.
- Red Seal Certificate or Diploma in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
- First Aid certification or OSSA safety training is considered an asset.
- A self-starter who takes initiative, follows through on commitments, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Work is split between active construction sites and coordination/communication tasks in the field.
- Frequent travel is required to project sites across British Columbia and Alberta.
- Some remote work will be required between travel schedules.
- Work may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, loud environments, and varying physical demands.
- Shifts are typically full-time; flexibility for extended hours or weekend work may be required during busy project periods.
