- Lead the development and execution of payer strategies across Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid, and employer segments to improve access, utilization, and revenue growth.
- Design, negotiate, and execute innovative contracting models including value-based care agreements, outcomes-based arrangements, shared savings, subscription pricing, and bundled payment structures.
- Conduct market intelligence, reimbursement trend analysis, and competitive assessments to guide pricing, positioning, and market access decisions.
- Build financial models to evaluate contract economics, ROI, gross-to-net impact, margin performance, and risk-sharing scenarios.
- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to measure payer access, revenue impact, utilization trends, and clinical/economic outcomes.
- Lead payer go-to-market planning for new diagnostic offerings, including pilots, launch readiness, and scale strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally with HEOR, clinical, legal, compliance, finance, and commercial teams to develop compelling payer value propositions.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with payer organizations while serving as a trusted reimbursement expert externally and internally.
- Provide thought leadership and strategic recommendations that influence enterprise planning, innovation priorities, and long-term growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, life sciences, public health, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MPH, MS, or equivalent).
- 10–12+ years of progressive experience in payer strategy, market access, reimbursement, healthcare consulting, or related sectors.
- Deep expertise in payer contracting, reimbursement strategy, and value-based care models across commercial and government payers.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including pricing strategy and contract performance evaluation.
- Proven ability to translate clinical evidence, HEOR data, and real-world outcomes into persuasive payer-facing value narratives.
- Experience in diagnostics, MedTech, digital health, or healthcare innovation environments strongly preferred.
- Clinical credentials such as PharmD or RN are advantageous but not required.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success operating independently in complex, matrixed, and fast-evolving environments.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards related to payer communications is a plus.
