Recreational Gymnastics Coach- Discover Gymnastics at Morse Athletics LLC – Houston, Texas

We are seeking a positive, energetic, and dedicated Recreational Gymnastics Coach who is passionate about working with young children ages 4 and up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and physical education. This individual will lead structured gymnastics classes that help build strength, coordination, and confidence in a safe and fun environment. (NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED- WILL TRAIN QUALIFIED CANDIDATES)

Duties

• Instruct recreational gymnastics classes for beginner to intermediate levels.
• Lead warm-ups and activities that develop strength, balance, and coordination.
• Demonstrate and spot basic gymnastics skills.
• Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
• Provide positive reinforcement and manage class behavior in age-appropriate ways.
• Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and class structure.
• Set up and clean up equipment before and after class.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe gym environment.
• Help with seasonal events and performances.
• Collaborate with the coaching team and management to enhance program.

Qualifications

• Background in gymnastics, cheer, dance, or related physical activity.
• Experience working with students of various age groups, particularly children.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Must be able to lift equipment and spot students safely.
• Must be energetic, patient, and engaging with young children.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• A passion for promoting health and fitness through sports activities.
• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
