We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the Assistant Marketing Manager position, joining our team in Nottingham, PA on-site.
  • SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday approximately 40+ hours a week in a hybrid format.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for assisting in development of, and leading projects within the marketing department of assigned in-market brands and products at Herr Foods. The individual must be able to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with an emphasis on collective, collaborative teamwork. This job is focused on program development and execution as well as the management of the day-to-day logistics of all key brand programs. Assists Marketing Manager(s) in timeline management, budget, and program analysis.

The Assistant Marketing Manager will assist in the development of the brand's product and communication plans while collaborating with multi-function teams and agency partners to execute the programs. Employee will handle a significant amount of product management work including ensuring that products are enabled in the Integrated business planning system and projects are delivered on-time and within budgets. Assistant marketing manager will develop demand forecasts for new item launches as well as ongoing product lines. Critical to their success will be their ability to work closely with Research & Development, Supply Chain, Finance and Sales to ensure products are delivered to the market on agreed upon timelines. The employee should be well organized, excel at communicating, analytically strong, financially astute, and a quick study of assigned items and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coordination and leading of assigned projects that pertain to product introduction, portfolio management, and product improvement. Projects may include new products, formula changes, pricing changes, weight changes and packaging redesigns.
  • Assist in insight gathering to generate direction for new product development, as well as, actionable opportunities for improvement on products that are below their potential.
  • Assist in consumer and shopper communication projects. Will be actively learning about creation and execution of compelling consumer value propositions delivered through holistic, insightful, and cost-effective communication tactics.
  • Leads day-to-day execution of product setup which includes ensuring the products are properly set up in programs/systems and stakeholders have the product information and materials they need to be successful.
  • Drives communication and collaboration with sales on projects including providing regular updates on ongoing projects and opportunities for improvement in current projects so they are properly informed.
  • Develops cost recommendations for resources needed to execute projects which may include product, samples, or collateral.
  • Business Forecasting/Results - work with Sales, Supply Chain, and others to generate accurate volume forecasts and actionable, easy to understand analyses on results.
