About This Position

Description:

The Role

  • We design and maintain internal software systems that support Acutec’s manufacturing operations — production scheduling, job setup, tool inventory management, shop floor visibility, and operational reporting.
  • You will be one of three engineers responsible for software that directly impacts daily production performance. This is high-ownership work in a complex, constraint-driven Job Shop environment.
  • We work closely with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT, and Leadership to translate manufacturing challenges into practical software solutions.
  • We are also laying the foundation for future data-driven optimization and advanced analytics capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and maintain internal systems and web applications, primarily using C#, SQL, and JavaScript
  • Communicate with stakeholders across departments throughout the company via email, phone, and in-person
  • Adapt and align systems when company processes and requirements change
  • Troubleshoot production-impacting issues with urgency and ownership

The problems are practical, complex, and operationally critical. What you build today will directly influence production tomorrow.

Requirements:

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience developing software systems
  • A desire to serve and support Acutec’s employees and operations through software that’s reliable and meets business needs
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking[BZ1] abilities- considering how changes affect the entire interconnected system, people, and processes
  • Effective communication skills and comfort working across departments
  • Ability to operate in a small, high-responsibility team

Preferred

  • Professional software development experience
  • Manufacturing or Job Shop experience
  • ERP integrations
  • Interest in analytics and future data-driven optimization
  • Experience working with SQL databases (schema and data management)
