POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this position the Senior Recruiter will be responsible for proactively engaging with operational and clinical leaders at their assigned sites to review their current rosters, bench, and premium labor, and based on their staffing models, what their recruitment needs are. The Senior Level recruiter is responsible for sourcing qualified candidates for the sites with a priority on FT permanent hires which will reduce the need for locums and excessive PRN utilization. This level of collaboration will ensure efficient and responsible hiring so that the recruiter can focus on stabilizing staffing situations and optimize financial responsibility. This person is responsible for managing the Junior Recruiter’s efforts to ensure that their combined efforts will produce the greatest number of presentations to the site chiefs.
The Senior recruiter will creatively source candidates, network, utilize internal programs to attract talent and provide creative solutions to recruiting challenges. When operational or cultural issues arise at the site level, it is the recruiter’s responsibility to escalate those issues to recruitment management and propose a communication plan which includes the current situation, the results of this situation and what suggestions they have for improvement.
This person will proactively engage with all the department and external department resources as needed. Suggestions for marketing ideas, candidate events, better processes and team improvements are all part of this advanced role. This person has excellent communication skills, a high EQ, and understands the importance of relationship management. The expectation is that this person will generate a significant number of FT hires each year and is proficient in selling the advantages of working at the contracted site and for Somnia.
In addition to delegating tasks to support staff that are best delegated, it is expected that the ATS will be utilized as directed and all candidate statuses are kept up to date. The recruiter must be prepared and ready to report in meetings where updates are needed.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide full life-cycle recruiting: actively source and screen candidates, facilitate and schedule on-site interviews, support the hiring decision, and negotiate offers.
- Collaborate with administrators/chiefs to determine job requirements and develop effective recruiting strategies for open positions; manage expectations throughout process.
- Ensure all the necessary deliverable forms are completed for respective accounts and maintain account information.
- Identify new, creative sourcing techniques/tools to enable successful recruiting.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external networks to proactively identify leads.
- Collaborate with Recruitment Marketing Assistant and others to manage partnership with Indeed, LinkedIn and Gaswork account managers to analyze performance of job posts; communicate results to recruitment and collaborate based upon current performance vs historical data.
- Oversee and collaborate with Recruitment Marketing Assistant to ensure Tradeshow coordination (ensure prime booth location, book travel for attendees, prepare appropriate materials, ship booth).
- Manage all clinical and corporate job boards (Somnia website, Gaswork, state society websites, LinkedIn, Indeed etc.).
- Coordinate webinars, networking events, and related functions.
- Manage onboard dashboard report.
- Attend workshops, training seminars, and applicable tradeshows.
- Provide onsite presence at designated accounts and start ups as needed.
- Assemble and produce quarterly metrics reports for team and ensure timely completion.
- Train and evaluate junior staff on new skills and act as mentor for all new recruitment team employees.
- Provide project and administrative support.
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional organizational skills, customer-focused attitude, and team orientation
- Ability to utilize critical influence and negotiation skills as well as a highly developed ability to provide coaching as required
- Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and efficiently manage competing priorities
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, and the ability to successfully consult and work with all roles and levels throughout the organization
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years of relevant, successful, hands-on experience.
- Sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other networks.
- Strong proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system is a plus.
