Position Summary
The Operating Technician operates, monitors, and maintains manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and highquality production. This role performs equipment setup, troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and accurate documentation while supporting continuous improvement. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned production equipment following SOPs and safety standards.
  • Perform equipment setup, changeovers, startups, and alignments.
  • Conduct routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on machinery.
  • Monitor production quality, perform inprocess inspections, and complete required testing.
  • Document machine parameters, batch data, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Identify process deviations and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, KATA, etc.).
  • Train other operators on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • 5–8 years of manufacturing, equipment operation, or technical experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read SOPs, follow standard work, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Regular and reliable onsite attendance is required.

Physical & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent sitting and visual/hearing tasks; occasional standing, climbing, pushing/pulling, or kneeling.
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment and moderate noise.

Pay $33.99/hr


The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
