Construction Financial Executive Directing National Industrial Demolition & Compliance Operations

Job Overview:

• Company: R. Baker & Son All Industrial Services Inc.

• Salary/Pay Rate: $150,000 - $200,000 per year plus bonus opportunities.

• Location: Marlboro, NJ (In person).

• Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shift.

• Project Scope: Large-scale commercial demolition, rigging, and industrial projects.

• Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity: You will serve as the financial backbone of an 88-year-old industry leader, overseeing complex fiscal operations across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. This role offers the unique chance to lead high-level strategy while remaining hands-on with the unique billing and compliance requirements of a massive unionized workforce. You will have a direct seat at the table with ownership, influencing the growth and stability of a multi-generational family enterprise.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Direct all day-to-day finance operations and lead the month-end close process to ensure total fiscal transparency.

• Formulate weekly cash flow projections and bank reconciliations to provide ownership with real-time financial health data.

• Oversee the entire accounts receivable lifecycle, including complex AIA billing, T&M tickets, and change order pricing.

• Coordinate with project managers to verify percentage completion and ensure all subcontractor costs are captured in billing cycles.

• Execute comprehensive insurance and compliance management, including OCIP setup, union rate updates, and bond compliance.

• Manage external auditor relationships and provide necessary documentation for quarterly and annual audits.

• Monitor specialized project requirements such as LCP Tracker reporting, minority reports, and PLA agreement reviews.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelors degree with coursework in accounting, project, or business management.

• At least 5 years of accounts receivable experience specifically within the construction industry.

• Proven mastery of AIA billing, standard contract terms (Lump Sum, Unit Price, T&M), and G/L reconciliations.

• Demonstrated experience managing union-related payroll compliance and insurance audits.

• Ability to work in-person at the Marlboro, NJ headquarters on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Specific experience within the commercial demolition or industrial rigging sectors.

• Advanced proficiency in ComputerEase construction accounting software.

• Previous experience reporting directly to company owners or executive leadership in a family-owned environment.
