Clinic Medical Assistant

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible to see that the patient care needs are met. They must be able to handle emergency situations to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures. Monitor the quality of service and assure that standards are being met to comply with safety, public health, OSHA and ACHC regulations. Provides orientation and training for staff to meet requirements as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Graduated from an accredited School.
  - Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant in the state of IL.
  - Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  - Willing to become certified in Audiometry, Breath Alcohol Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing and Drug Screen collection
  - Experience in Ambulatory Clinics.
  - DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
  - Computer knowledge in Ambulatory Care Clinics
  - Ability to teach and direct other office personnel.
  - Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
  - Possesses the ability to work under pressure.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
