About This Position

Description:

At Lake Ridge Bank, the Loan Servicing Specialist plays a vital role in delivering a seamless post-closing experience for our Commercial and Ag customers. This role is responsible for ensuring loans are accurately booked, funded, maintained, and secured while protecting the bank’s interests through precise lien perfection and documentation review. You’ll collaborate closely with customers, third-party vendors, and our Commercial/Ag lending teams to manage everything from post-closing documentation and core system maintenance to renewals, modifications, and payoffs.   • Organize documents for uploading to the imaging system, Director, for permanent electronic storage.
  • Review and process daily loan booking requests, tasks/tickets, and make corrections and adjustments as necessary.
  • Onboard new, renewed, extended, and modified loans directly to the Navigator system including, but not limited to commercial, commercial real estate, agricultural, participation and municipal loans. Make corrections and adjustments as necessary in Navigator.
  • Disburse loans and make monetary transactions as indicated on the disbursement documentation.
  • Initiate and verify wires associated with loan transactions.
  • Obtain collateral perfection according to requirements of Loan Approval.
  • Review compliance requirements are met and accurate, including but not limited to CIP/CRA/HMDA/Beneficial Ownership, etc. and enter data into related systems/programs.
  • Review and monitor tickler report for final title policies, recorded documents, vehicle titles, etc.
  • Process daily incoming mail and route to the appropriate area.
  • Perform maintenance requests received through the ticketing system. After reviewing, make corrections when needed.
  • Receive incoming phone calls to support internal teams as well as customers.
  • Provide timely and accurate payoff quotes as requested by customer and/or third-party title insurance companies.
  • Process paid notes within the required time which includes preparing satisfactions and lien releases and updating all systems appropriately.
  • Process payments and advances.
  • Process vehicle floor plan advances and payments.
  • Process all incoming insurance policies, monitor cancellations, invoices, flood, and life insurance policies to ensure proper updates to the core system are made.
  • Process incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Manage financial statement collection process.
  • Manage participation and SWAP servicing activities.
  • Review and process daily loan servicing reports.
  • Provide input to improve processes and efficiencies and advise management of issues, staff training needs or concerns, anomalies, etc.
  • Monitor internal loan rate review process and update system rates accordingly.
  • Perform back up responsibilities with other team members.
  • Assist in maintaining and producing procedures for tasks in job description.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in bank and department meetings.
  • Represent the bank in professional and community activities.
  • Actively participate in training programs to stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Partner effectively across all levels of the organization and develop positive working relationships.
  • Continually develop knowledge, skills, and abilities through internal and external training programs.
  • Perform all other duties or projects as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business and/or similar field of education and/or 1-2 previous work experience in a financial institution setting.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (especially listening and verbal) to communicate and relate effectively with customers and associates.
  • Good accounting/math skills with the ability to work precisely with numbers and financial calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently & accurately.
  • Demonstrated ability in exercising independent judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and remain calm while working in a fast paced/deadline driven environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new programs and software.
  • Ability to put forth the extra effort necessary to ensure a successful operation, including but not limited to working additional hours, attending educational programs, etc.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English clearly.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional, positive manner.
  • Willingness to work toward the goals and performance standards of the department with a focus on the bank and department mission statements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a loan operations area or lending environment, preferably within a financial institution setting· Previous experience with Fiserv operating systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient typing/keyboarding skills.
