Remote Engineering Manager
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will lead the effort to transform our database platform engineering practice into a modern, self-service framework that prioritizes automation and scalability. Your leadership will guide a talented team, ensuring a strong technical strategy that facilitates reliability and efficiency. Collaborating with various cross-functional teams, you will enhance developer experience and operational excellence. Your impact will be significant, as you create structural improvements that reduce cognitive load for product delivery teams, ultimately influencing the entire organization.
Accountabilities- Set the technical strategy and operating model for the database platform engineering team.
- Grow engineering talent and develop a high-leverage engineering organization.
- Drive measurable improvements in developer experience and security.
- Partner with analytics, AI, and product engineering for seamless operations.
- Create reliable automation-first capabilities for both relational and NoSQL workloads.
- Attract and develop engineering talent through mentorship and coaching.
- Foster partnerships within the Product and Engineering organization.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in software and engineering.
- Strong background in data infrastructure and platforms.
- Proficient in RDBMS, NoSQL, and analytics ecosystems.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and modern engineering stacks.
- Excitement for leveraging AI tools to enhance project workflows.
