Job Description
Leadership and strategic direction for the Emergency Department, Trauma Program, and organizational leader of the Care Management Program at CMH. The director will facilitate key systems vital to nursing and care management operations including fiscal management, staffing, coordination and optimization. The goal at CMH is to ensure that our teams provide person-centered care while utilizing evidence-based best practices.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Provides administrative and clinical oversight for the Emergency Department (including trauma services) and Care Management functions, ensuring care delivery aligns with current evidence-based practice and recognized standards from applicable professional organizations. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration among clinical and care management teams to support safe, efficient patient care, discharge planning, and utilization review. Ensures ongoing compliance with all applicable state and federal refutations, including EMTALA, as well as organization policies and accreditation standards.
License/Certification
Currently licensed RN with the Oregon State Board of Nursing. BLS certificate through the American Heart Association required.
Education and/or Experience
Minimum Baccalaureate in Nursing (Master’s preferred), or Masters in Social Work required. Must demonstrate a progressive supervisory history in patient care or Care Management. Must demonstrate proficiency in working with the development of policies and with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves sitting, standing, walking, stooping, occasionally carrying and lifting lightweight materials (up to 20 lbs). May be required to sit for extended periods of time.
