Prototype Garage Technician, EV & Hybrid vehicles

Key Responsibilities

• Technicians will perform maintenance, repairs, and instrumentation on
  prototype vehicles
• Diagnose and repair prototype vehicle electrical and mechanical systems
• Fabrication/modification of prototype components/fixtures
• Installation of instrumentation and test equipment
• Detailed record-keeping of all work performed
• Test driving vehicles as required
• Adherence to all Scout Motors policies and safety standards
• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Location: Primarily Novi, MI, with potential support at other Michigan proving grounds
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed
• Communicate effectively with Garage Manager and team
• Adherence to all OEM policies and safety standards
• Contracted position - 6 months, with possibility of extension

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional technician experience in the automotive industry

• Electric/hybrid vehicle experience

• Valid driver’s license with clean record

• High-voltage electrical knowledge and training

• CAN/LIN network understanding

• Fabrication and instrumentation experience

• Strong technical, mechanical, and communication skills

• All specialty tools, instrumentation, and PPE will be provided
