About This Position

VALUE ANALYSIS & STRATEGIC SOURCING COORDINATOR - MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

  • JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
    • Job Summary:
      • Supports and/or leads (as appropriate) the organization’s process of selecting clinically acceptable supplies in a cost-effective manner. This individual will lead value analysis committee(s) and work on sourcing supplies while considering the total cost of acquisition.
    • Education:
      • Position requires a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in supply chain management, business, finance, or medical concentration, preferred.
    • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
      • Unexpired, unsuspended driver’s license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.
    • Experience:
        • Position requires 2+ years of clinical and/or supply chain experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
        • Familiarity with all aspects of inventory management including receiving, par leveling, transportation, and distribution of supplies.
        • Familiarity with purchasing processes.
        • Prior data analysis experience.
        • Experience using Meditech and familiarity with medical supplies and devices, preferred.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Demonstrated organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills required to effectively perform job duties.
      • Effectively communicates with all staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
      • Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirement—strong MS Excel and Meditech experience, preferred; MS Word, and web-based applications.
      • Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.
      • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
      • Effectively performs other departmental duties and assignments within the relative scope of the position when the need arises within the department.
