Project Manager – Farm Infrastructure & Expansion

Southside Blooms is a mission-driven florist dedicated to sustainable flower production, community impact, and thoughtful growth. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-focused Project Manager to oversee infrastructure development and farm expansion initiatives.
Position Summary
The Part-Time Project Manager - Farm Infrastructure & Expansion will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of farm infrastructure and expansion projects. This role is project-based, with assignments delegated on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in managing construction, agricultural infrastructure, or land development projects.
This is a hybrid role requiring remote planning and administrative work, with on-site visits required depending on the scope and phase of each project.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end management of farm infrastructure and expansion projects (e.g., greenhouse builds, irrigation systems, post-harvest facilities, storage, land development, utilities, etc.).
Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Manage permitting, compliance, and regulatory requirements as needed.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and resolve issues.
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to leadership.
Support long-term infrastructure planning aligned with organizational growth goals.
Qualifications
3+ years of project management experience, preferably in agriculture, construction, infrastructure, or land development.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, vendor management, and timeline coordination.
Experience overseeing developmental projects or facilities projects preferred.
Ability to execute site plans, create mock-ups, and technical documents.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Self-directed and comfortable working in a flexible, project-based environment.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Must be familiar with OSHA regulations and permitting
Work Structure
Part-time, project-based engagement.
Hours vary depending on active projects.
Combination of remote work and required on-site visits based on project needs and phase.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and scope of projects.
