About This Position
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales and Programs Specialist II reports directly to the Sales and Programs Manager – Real Estate, Sales and Marketing Department and is responsible for daily management and facilitating the disposition of properties and side lots through the Own It Now, Auction, Side Lot, Neighborhood Lot, Create-a-Project, and additional Vacant Land programs, along with administering our Discount program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Using DLBA’s Sales and Programs Policies as a guide, this position will be able to perform the following Sales and Programs functions Manage the workflow and productivity of Own It Now, Auction, Side Lot/Deed, Neighborhood Lot, additional Vacant Land programs and Discount Programs to ensure properly executed eligibility, accurate documentation, and proper transition of potential buyer to the closing pipeline. Assist with coordination and implementation of all aspects for the Semi-Annual Side Lot Fairs, monthly District Side Lot Sale, Discount Program Partnership events and including, but not limited to, coordinating with DLBA departments, Non-Profits, and other partners.
• S and P Team Subject Matter Expert for Neighborhood Lot program
• Perform the Eligibility check for Neighborhood Lot, Auction, OIN, Side Lot, and additional Vacant Land programs
• Contact customers to perform the Welcome Call
• Investigate and resolve client inquires related to S&P program properties including:
• face to face, phone call, email and DLBA interface
• Team FOIA subject matter expert, address FOIA request and compile data to address each inquiry
• Ensure compliance with all DLBA procedures and guidelines for each program
• Provide support to Sales and Programs Specialist as necessary
• Make recommendations to management about policies and audit triggers to ensure adequate controls
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Sales and Programs Manager
QUALIFICATIONS: (knowledge, experience, skills, abilities)
• Fluent in Spanish. High level of proficiency in speaking, reading and writing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Urban Planning, Community Development, Public Administration, or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education or work experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year for year basis
• At least two (2) years of training in economic development, compliance, planning, real estate, closing experience, or other related experience
• High level of customer service orientation
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly, make sound decisions and solve problems
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaborate with internal and external organizations and stakeholders and build effective partnerships
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and flexibility
• Strong organizational and time-management skills and can work well under pressure
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
