Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team.
Position Overview:
Quality Control Inspectors are primarily responsible for the inspection of materials and finished products received to the specification outlined on the order. This position is crucial in ensuing product safety and compliance to product and customer requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Inspect Products: Examine part and finished products in accordance with inspection plans, customer requirements for defects or deviations from specifications, engineering drawings, and customer requirements using precision measuring tools and equipment. Escalating any deviations or quality issues to the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Conduct Tests: Perform regular inspection and teste to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications throughout the distribution process.
- Document Findings: Record inspections results and maintain detailed reports of defects, nonconformities and corrective actions taken through detailed records, including but not limited to Nonconformance (NCR) documents.
- Documentation Review: Review extensive certification packages from suppliers to ensure conformance with customer requirements.
- Material Control: Interface with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool and warehouse operations on electronic and physical material movements.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with sales, operations, quality and management teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
- Directly and indirectly responsible for product safety and quality.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education / Certifications:
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate degree or vocational training in Electronics, Avionics, Aerospace Technology, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 1 year of industry experience in quality inspections or related activities
Qualifications / Competencies:
- Knowledge or familiarity in working in regulated environment, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 / AS9120 or similar Quality System standards is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and certification requirements
- Experience using precision measurement equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, optical gauging equipment
- Basic mathematical skills, such as adding, subtracting, and rounding decimal numbers
- Ability to handle confidential and restricted information
- Strong attention to detail and organization, as well as rigorous documentation
- Possess strong work ethics, a positive attitude, and be detail oriented
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally
- Ability to work with all Microsoft office applications
- Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read in English
Physical / Environmental Requirements:
- Frequently required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment
- Occasionally required to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequently required repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and/or finger
- Ability to lift 45 lbs.
- Must meet vision and color blindness standards, verified by medical documentation. New hires must pass an eye test before starting employment, and retesting occurs annually
- Office / Warehouse environment may vary in temperature depending on the season
