Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed medical assistant that can work in a busy Internal medicine clinic at WKP. We need a person that is dependable and has strong work ethics. Good communication and computer skills are required. Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to: assessment of patients utilizing verbal and technical skills, triaging patients. The MA will work with the insurance companies in completing referrals and preauthorization for lab, X-ray and procedures. They will perform EKG's, breathing treatments, and administer medications and vaccines as prescribed. They will assist with tests and procedures. They will maintain a safe clinical environment for patients. The clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm. An excellent benefit package is offered.
