In this role, you will act as a senior pre-sales technical expert supporting enterprise customers in designing and protecting mission-critical database environments. You will engage directly with prospects and clients to demonstrate how advanced data protection and cyber resilience solutions secure and optimize complex database workloads across on-prem and cloud environments. Operating at the intersection of sales, engineering, and product strategy, you will influence technical decision-making through deep expertise in MS SQL and modern database architectures. You will lead high-impact demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements that directly shape deal outcomes. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role where your technical authority and advisory mindset drive trust and long-term value. You will also contribute to product evolution by feeding real-world customer insights back into engineering and roadmap discussions.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor in pre-sales engagements, helping customers understand, evaluate, and adopt advanced database protection and security solutions. You will translate complex enterprise requirements into scalable architectures and guide customers through technical validation and implementation planning.

• Act as a subject matter expert for database workload protection across on-prem and cloud environments
• Support strategic sales opportunities by aligning technical solutions with customer business goals
• Lead technical presentations, demos, workshops, and executive-level solution discussions
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot proof-of-concept (POC) environments in collaboration with presales teams
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs, contribute to proposals, and create technical documentation and white papers
• Identify customer challenges and architect tailored solutions to remove technical sales barriers
• Provide guidance on MS SQL Server architectures, including HADR, Always On, clustering, and replication strategies
• Engage with cloud database platforms such as Azure SQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, and similar environments
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams by sharing customer feedback and influencing roadmap direction
• Deliver competitive insights and market intelligence from customer engagements

This role requires deep expertise in enterprise database systems, strong customer-facing experience, and the ability to operate as both a technical architect and a trusted advisor in complex sales cycles.

• 10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture, pre-sales, or database consulting
• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, including high availability, disaster recovery, clustering, and performance optimization
• Experience with cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, or GCP Cloud SQL)
• Solid understanding of enterprise database ecosystems, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Experience with containerized database environments is a plus
• Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Go, or JavaScript)
• Proven ability to design and troubleshoot complex distributed systems and database architectures
• Experience supporting POCs, performance testing, or benchmarking in enterprise environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive stakeholders
• Strong sales acumen with the ability to articulate technical value in business terms
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to travel up to 20% as required
