Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Consultant to join our client's team in the field of early childhood education to provide support for new and ongoing technical assistance (TA) projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with ongoing TA projects, and the development and implementation of new TA projects as needed.
  • Research and identify best practices in the field of early childhood education, school age care, special education, child care subsidy and other content areas relevant for OCC.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations regarding TA content and strategies.
  • Serve on a team providing project management support for ongoing TA work.
  • Serve on various projects on an ad hoc and as needed basis.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Policy, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with or supporting state, territorial, or federal early childhood programs, including experience with OCC-funded or OCC-aligned initiatives.
  • Familiarity with child care subsidy systems (e.g., CCDF), special populations, and inclusive practices.
  • Experience providing TA across diverse settings, including urban, rural, tribal, or underserved communities.
  • Background in project management, including tracking deliverables, supporting timelines, and coordinating stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workgroups, or communities of practice.
  • Knowledge of equity-focused, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches to early childhood systems and services.

Compensation Range: The salary range provided is determined by market value, internal equity, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. Offers will be extended within this range, though not all candidates will receive an offer at the upper limit.
