As an Account Director, you will provide senior-level oversight across congress and journal publication projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, global authors, and leading medical experts, bringing clarity and momentum to complex, multi-stakeholder programs. The position balances client-facing leadership with internal team management, financial oversight, and process optimization. Accountabilities:

Lead complex medical publications accounts, ensuring consistent delivery excellence and adherence to timelines
Serve as a strategic partner to clients, building long-term, trusted relationships and providing consultative guidance
Oversee end-to-end execution of abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and related publication assets
Ensure compliance with publications standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks
Manage workflows and approvals using publications management tools, driving efficiency and accuracy
Provide financial oversight including budgeting, forecasting, and accurate invoicing
Anticipate risks, resolve challenges proactively, and maintain alignment across all stakeholders

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in life sciences; advanced degree preferred
6+ years of experience in medical communications, with significant expertise in publications strategy, planning, and execution
Proven leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams
Strong client relationship management skills, with experience in strategic consultation and account growth
Excellent project and financial management skills, including budget control, forecasting, and SOW creation
Superior organizational and communication skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Proficiency in publications management tools such as iEnvision
