Overnight Security at Slipaway – Cape Coral, Florida

Role: The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding Slipaway’s property, guests, and staff during overnight hours. This role ensures a secure environment by monitoring access points, patrolling facilities, and responding promptly to incidents. The ideal candidate is alert, dependable, and customer focused.

Environment: Dynamic, outdoor/indoor environment. Minor travel may occur. Subject to loud noise levels.

Work Schedule

• Overnight shifts: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

* Includes weekends and holidays; seasonal flexibility required*

Job Duties

• Conduct routine patrols of docks, parking areas, food truck zone, and common facilities throughout the night.
• Monitor surveillance systems and promptly report suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Enforce marina rules and regulations, including restricted access after-hours.
• Respond to emergencies (fire, medical, theft) and coordinate with local authorities when necessary.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate overnight activity logs.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to patrol large outdoor areas and respond to emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
