About This Position

  • The Manager of Credentialing Services oversees the provider credentialing, recredentialing and provider enrollment for Samaritan Health Services and Samaritan Health Plans. This role ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements; leads department staff, and partners closely with operational and medical staff leaders to ensure accurate credentialing decisions. The manager is responsible for maintaining quality standards, reliable processes and ensuring that the department supports providers and patient safety and risk mitigation at Samaritan.
  • Preferred candidates will reside in Oregon however, this position is eligible for work out of state.   • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The Credentialing Department at Samaritan Health Services credentials new and existing healthcare providers for employment, privileging and participation in Samaritan Health Plans. The credentialing process includes verification, documentation, and approval of a practitioner’s credentials and meets the requirements of The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and our accrediting bodies.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Five (5) years healthcare business process experience required.
    • Three (3) years management experience required.
    • Experience in Operational Process Improvement required.
    • Experience or training with regulatory compliance as it applies to credentialing standards required.
    • Management experience in a multi-facility organization preferred.
    • Experience with Oregon credentiling requirements preferred
