Laundry Attendant at JUF Operations LLC – Fajardo

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Moncayo Golf & Ocean Club, set outside of Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

Moncayo Golf & Ocean Club is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join the Residential Services Department.

Position Summary

The Laundry Attendant supports daily laundry operations and plays a critical role in maintaining the quality, organization, and control of all linen, terry, and uniform inventory. This position ensures all items meet Moncayo’s luxury standards of cleanliness, presentation, and readiness for operations.

The Laundry Attendant will assist with internal laundry needs, track inventory movement, monitor discarded items, and ensure uniforms and linens are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.

Attention to detail, organization, and accountability are essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry Operations

• Wash, dry, and fold designated in-house laundry items
• Iron uniforms, linens, and garments as required
• Ensure all items are properly cleaned, pressed, and presentation-ready
• Identify stained, damaged, or worn items and report accordingly
• Maintain laundry equipment in clean and operational condition

Inventory Control & Tracking

• Track all linen and terry inventory sent to and received from the external laundry vendor
• Verify quantities against vendor delivery sheets
• Maintain accurate inventory logs
• Monitor and document discarded, damaged, or missing items
• Conduct regular linen and terry counts
• Assist with par level maintenance

Uniform Management

• Track team member uniform distribution and returns
• Ensure uniforms are clean, pressed, and ready for daily operations
• Monitor uniform condition and coordinate replacements when needed
• Maintain organized uniform storage

Organization & Quality Control

• Maintain organized and clean laundry and linen storage areas
• Ensure proper separation and labeling of items
• Follow established handling procedures to preserve fabric quality
• Assist with first washes for new linen and terry prior to operational use

Opening & Pre-Opening Support

• Assist in organizing OS&E linen and terry inventory
• Support setup of laundry area prior to opening
• Coordinate with Housekeeping leadership to ensure all opening standards are met
• Help prepare all guest-facing textiles to luxury presentation standards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift or push up to 40 lbs
• Ability to operate laundry and ironing equipment safely

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
• Basic understanding of textile care
• Experience with inventory tracking is a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Professional attitude and reliability
• English intermediate level. Written and spoken
