Surface Finishing Specialist Lead Commercial Concrete Polishing and Floor Restoration

You will play a vital role in transforming raw concrete into high-performance, decorative flooring for high-profile educational and commercial clients. This position offers you the chance to master advanced planetary grinding systems and decorative chemical applications within a stable, long-term project environment. You will join a team that prioritizes your safety and professional growth, providing all necessary PPE and paid technical certifications from day one.

• Execute full floor preparation by removing existing coatings and contaminants to achieve specified aggregate exposure.

• Operate heavy-duty propane planetary grinders and industrial dust collection systems in strict compliance with OSHA silica standards.

• Apply penetrating densifiers, acid-reactive stains, and decorative treatments to meet architect-approved finish schedules.

• Perform meticulous edge grinding and detail work in confined areas to ensure a seamless floor-to-wall transition.

• Install epoxy or polyurea fillers for crack and joint repair to ensure structural integrity and a smooth final finish.

• Protect adjacent finishes and other trades' work through proactive masking and site containment strategies.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial concrete grinding and polishing.

• Proven proficiency with stand-up propane planetary grinders and hand-held edge grinders.

• Demonstrated experience applying densifiers, sealers, and various concrete staining systems.

• Valid drivers license and the ability to travel consistently to various job sites in the Houston region.

• Active OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Safety certification.

• Experience specifically with Lavina planetary grinding equipment and industrial vacuum systems.

• Background in grout-coat applications for addressing voids and pinholes in high-visibility floors.

• Previous experience working on K-12 school renovations or new ground-up construction.
