GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for delivering outstanding service to both internal and external member while helping to maintain a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks. Their duties include mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant and emptying trash cans or recycling bins, removes debris, and assist with additional duties as assigned. Daily and ongoing janitorial of the headquarters. General hospitality of the headquarters. I.E maintaining and stocking refreshment areas, continually maintaining headquarters breakroom cleanliness and stock, maintain proper level of stack in each work/supply room. Assisting other areas of the facilities department with shared duties. I.E mail sorting, mail delivering, supply orders, misc. deliveries.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain a courteous professional manner with all team members, vendors, and contractors.
  2. Communicate with vendors, branches, and the facilities team with all assigned tasks and projects.
  3. Conduct inventory and resupply of workroom supplies and refreshment areas at the Home Office.
  4. Utilize a personal computer to complete work assignments, check email, and access AFCU policies and procedures.
  5. Daily follow up with the cleaning vendor for the headquarters.
  6. Ensure ongoing daily cleanliness of areas at the headquarters.
  7. Performs on-site branch visits at assigned locations.
  8. Proactive approach with each location visit.
  9. Awareness of budgetary needs for each assigned location. Discuss with VP of Facilities direction for annual budget items.
  10. Performs minor troubleshooting of repairs and equipment adjustments.
  11. Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person. Then assists in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed.
  12. Required to inspect all AFCU building facilities to aid in identifying potential maintenance necessities.
  13. Regularly updates Maintenance Log with completed maintenance requisitions and responsible for the completion of all maintenance services that are requested.
  14. Issue temporary security access to vendors and team members as needed.
  15. Assist with fulfilling monthly supply orders.
  16. Facilitate mail and shipping deliveries and distribution.
  17. Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
  18. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • 2 years related experience and/or training

This is a safety sensitive position which will require passing a drug screen as a condition of employment.
