Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities by developing and maintaining relationships with insurance companies, adjusters, property managers, and property owners. This role requires a deep understanding of water mitigation, emergency restoration services, and the insurance claims process. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who excels at networking, sales, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the restoration industry.
• Establish and maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, property managers, and other key stakeholders.
• Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings to promote company services.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase referrals and partnerships.
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the restoration process.
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely communication and resolution of client concerns.
• Educate clients on restoration processes, timelines, and expectations.
• Ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
Sales Strategy & Execution
• Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align business goals and sales initiatives.
• Track and report key sales metrics, including lead generation and conversion rates.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the restoration, construction, or insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of water mitigation, property restoration, and the insurance claims process.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel locally for client meetings, networking events, and site visits.
