Now Hiring for a Materials Delivery Coordinator at our Jacksonville, North Carolina manufacturing plant. In this role, you will support production operations by ensuring the timely movement, availability, and accuracy of materials required for manufacturing. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient material flow, supporting inventory accuracy, and enabling uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, discrepancy analysis, and monitoring material usage during production and BOM trials.
- Identify and report material discrepancies and usage concerns to Manufacturing Process Engineers.
- Monitor production output and inventory levels to support Just-In-Time (JIT) material delivery.
- Coordinate material delivery timing in alignment with production schedules and machine changeovers.
- Retrieve, transport, and stage materials using manual methods and equipment (e.g., tugger), ensuring accurate fulfillment of production orders and continuous material availability.
- Perform SAP transactions, including inventory adjustments and min/max control maintenance, using a portable scanner.
- Process material returns to the warehouse and support proper material handling practices.
- Support initiatives to reduce packaging waste and improve material presentation for production use (e.g., de-trashing materials).
- Operate material handling equipment and waste compactors as needed.
- Utilize hand and/or power tools as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to:
- read, write, and comprehend work instructions, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- adapt to changing priorities and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
- operate powered material handling equipment, including a tugger or industrial jack.
- stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, including the use of hand and power tools.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including 6S, the 8 Wastes, and Just-In-Time (JIT) delivery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently for extended periods.
- Experience with material sorting or de-trashing processes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous MSA experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
