About This Position

Evertz is looking for a self-motivated Technical Product Specialist with superb technical skills and sharp business acumen to join our Product Management team within R&D. The ideal candidate understands that clarity and attention to detail are paramount when designing and building a solution for our customers. In this position, you will be reporting to the Sr. Product Manager and working with a dynamic team of engineers focused on IP video/audio transport, processing, and conversion products. Customers and applications are heavily focused on core broadcast, professional A/V and live sports/news applications. In this group, success means solving technical problems for our customers and driving the adoption of our industry leading solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interfacing with customers to help design solutions tailored to meet their applications, use-cases and workflows
  • Assisting the team with defining new product architecture, features, and functions
  • Working with multiple teams and departments across the company to validate solutions and resolve technical problems
  • Competitive benchmarking from a technical and a commercial perspective
  • Promoting our solutions through industry trade show participation and targeted customer engineer meetings
  • Assisting with testing and validating new products prior to launch
  • Assisting with detailed product documentation and application notes


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Deeply familiar with industry standard transport technologies (ST2110, ST2022, RIST, SRT)
  • Understanding of core compression technologies (H264, HEVC, JPEG-XS, JPEG-2K)
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments, networking and IP protocols
  • Prior broadcast video experience
  • Education in Electronics/Electrical/Computers/Broadcasting or related technology field
  • Eligibility for travel to US and International client sites.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, perform agile iterative development of industry-leading products and technology.
  • Able to learn quickly, work independently and have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Location: Burlington, Ontario
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

Salary Range: $65,000 - $95,000 CAD
