- Define and evolve platform architecture and core system designs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business strategy into actionable technical solutions
- Lead cross-team architectural initiatives, modernizing systems and reducing complexity
- Mentor engineers and guide teams to uphold technical standards and best practices
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including AI and LLM-driven architectures
- Establish architectural governance, documentation, and shared system design principles
- Communicate architectural strategy clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering alignment and transparency
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and system architecture within a SaaS environment
- Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems (experience with Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch preferred)
- Hands-on knowledge of GenAI or LLM integration in production systems, including model lifecycle and AI-assisted architectures
- Demonstrated success leading multi-team architectural initiatives and influencing engineering practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to align technical and non-technical teams
- Preferred: experience modernizing complex legacy systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance at scale
- Competitive base salary: $230,000 $255,000, plus equity in the form of stock options
