Sertoma is currently seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician for our Maintenance Department with a shift from 7:30am until 4:00pm.

Salary:

· $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

Responsible for all preventative and corrective maintenance at the Center and residential homes owned by Sertoma Center, Inc. The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of tasks to ensure all Sertoma properties, equipment, tools, and vehicles are maintained in proper working order with a clean and professional appearance. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge base which will enable them to perform maintenance and minor repairs on

plumbing, electrical, HVAC equipment, appliances, and motor vehicles. Will be flexible and can easily adapt to a diverse workday that may change on a moment’s notice.

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

· Assist as needed to help maintain Center vehicle fleet.

· Performs maintenance inspections on assigned residential homes on a monthly basis to identify and address all maintenance related matters in a quick and efficient manner.

· Apply plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems and Sertoma residences.

· Identify and repair electrical malfunctions in wiring, appliances, and fixtures.

· Maintain HVAC units to keep proper climate control at all Sertoma properties.

· Interior and exterior painting as needed.

· Proactively perform maintenance on the exterior of Sertoma properties to include landscape maintenance, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and general cleaning.

· Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.

· Prepare reports documenting work performed.

· Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.

· Proactively coordinates with managers to schedule professionals for repairs that cannot be handled in-house.

· Assists with moving residents between residential sites.

· May be asked to participate in the Transportation and Safety Committees meetings.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor and CAO

Maintenance Technician Employment Requirements and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent is required.

· Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, preferred.

· Ability to stand and walk for a prolong period.

· Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.

· Must be able to visually and physically inspect vehicles, homes, and main office.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

· Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

· Authorized to work in the US.

· Ability to pass a drug screening at any time.

Maintenance Technician Desired Skills and Abilities:

· Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills

· Electrical, plumbing, painting, and property maintenance experience.

· HVAC maintenance desirable but not required.

· Works well independently and with others.

· Good communication skills

· Organized with attention to detail.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

· Ability to work on-call once a month.
