Electrical Engineering Intern at Connexus Energy – Ramsey, Minnesota

The internship is a temporary position requiring full-time, in-person hours at our campus located at 14601 Ramsey Blvd. Ramsey, MN 55303. Based on current requirements, hires must reside or relocate to Minnesota. This temporary position is not eligible for relocation or housing.

Compensation:

Anticipated hiring pay is between $20.00 - $24.00 per hour. The final compensation is based on the selected candidates’ qualifications, experience and skill level.

In this position you will:

Assist in the design of Connexus Energy’s distribution system.Operate computer software applications to aid in project selection, budgeting and tracking.Complete and edit construction specification drawings using computer aided drafting software. Improve processes by automating and scripting key tasks.Perform system analysis using engineering analysis modeling software. Review and approve applications and drawings for rooftop solar installations.

Need to have:

High school diploma or equivalentEnrolled in and pursuing a 4-year degree in electrical engineering, preferably with a power emphasis. Proficient computer and Microsoft Office Skills (Excel)Ability to reach and create technical diagrams and schematics

Nice to have:

Familiarity with electrical wiringBasic knowledge of electricityAbility to use drafting softwareStrong organizational skillsCumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherAbility to read maps
