Job Description

Help Desk IT Support An IT Help Desk Support professional provides first-line technical assistance to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring smooth IT operations and excellent customer service. Responsibilities IT Help Desk Support staff serve as a point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues. 1. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network problems via phone, email, chat or in person. This may include short-term travel to a location. 2. Running diagnostic programs. Isolating issues and implementing solutions to minimize downtime. 3. Logging, tracking, and updating support tickets in IT service management systems for accurate documentation. 4. Escalating complex issues to higher-tier support teams with detailed information for efficient resolution. 5. Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and peripherals, including updates, patches, and system upgrades. 6. Providing guidance to users on IT systems and applications to improve technical competence. 7. Maintaining detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and IT processes to build a knowledge base. 8. Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing potential issues. 9. Assisting in implementing IT policies and security protocols to protect company assets. 10. Install CAT5 cables, computers, cameras and setting up workstations for employees. 11. Other duties assigned by Manager. Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications A competent IT Help Desk Support professional should possess: • Technical knowledge: Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking systems. • Communication skills: Ability to explain complex IT issues in simple, understandable language. • Problem Solving Skills: Analytical thinking to resolve a variety of IT problems efficiently. • Customer service skills: Patience, empathy, and professionalism when assisting users. • Time management and multitasking: Prioritizing multiple requests under pressure. • Attention to detail: Accurate tracking and documentation BENEFITS: 48 hours Accrued Sick Time 40 Hours Accrued Vacation 6 Paid Holidays Heath, dental, vision and life Insurance
