Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000
This is a full time travel position, with a rotation cycle of 30 days on-site and 5 days off. Candidates who are not able to travel full time will not be considered for the position.
The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent or Senior Superintendent in overseeing daily commercial roofing operations in the field. Working under direct supervision, this role focuses on executing project tasks, reinforcing safety and quality standards, coordinating crews, and ensuring accurate documentation. This is a developmental role for individuals eager to grow into full field leadership positions.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Support & Execution
Assist the Superintendent or Senior Superintendent with daily jobsite operations from mobilization through closeout.Support coordination of crews, subcontractors, and daily work plans.Monitor production progress and help ensure daily and weekly goals are met.Safety Management
Enforce OSHA and company safety policies at all times.Assist in completing daily Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).Ensure proper PPE use and fall protection compliance.Report and help correct safety issues immediately.Quality Control
Assist with inspections to ensure work meets specifications and manufacturer standards.Document work progress with photos and reporting tools (Slack, Procore, etc.).Identify quality issues and escalate to Superintendent.Crew & Trade Partner Coordination
Help supervise field crews and trade partners under direction.Ensure crews understand scope, expectations, and company standards.Assist with timekeeping and workforce tracking.Material & Equipment Support
Verify material deliveries, quantities, and staging.Report damaged or missing materials to leadership.Help maintain organization and accountability of tools and equipment.Communication & Documentation
Assist with daily reports, logs, and documentation.Communicate updates to the Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, and Project Manager.Participate in jobsite meetings as needed.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required1–3 years of commercial roofing experience preferredBasic understanding of roofing systems and jobsite operationsMust be willing to learn, take direction, and grow within the companyPrevious OSHA 30 certification a plus, will obtain during in-office trainingFamiliarity with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plusMust have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and walk on commercial rooftops safely.Extended hours and weekend work may be required based on project demands.Performance Expectations
