Job Description

Data Architect

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data Architect in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design and evolve a modern, enterprise-grade data platform built on Snowflake within a highly regulated healthcare and medical device environment. You will shape scalable architectures that support clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial analytics use cases, ensuring data is secure, compliant, and high-performing. Working in a remote-first setup, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, clinical, and business domains. The role combines strategic architecture ownership with hands-on technical depth in cloud data platforms. You will contribute directly to enabling advanced analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and real-world evidence generation. This is a high-impact position where data architecture decisions directly influence patient safety, regulatory compliance, and business outcomes.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will define and deliver scalable, secure, and compliant data architecture solutions while enabling enterprise analytics and advanced data use cases. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end data ecosystems and ensuring alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements.

  • Design and implement enterprise data architecture using Snowflake for structured and unstructured data across multiple business domains
  • Build and optimize scalable data models, warehouses, and data lakes supporting analytics, AI/ML, and reporting needs
  • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Snowpipe, dbt, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory
  • Define and enforce data governance, security, lineage, and compliance frameworks aligned with HIPAA, FDA, GDPR, and GxP standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, clinical, regulatory, quality, and business stakeholders
  • Optimize Snowflake performance, cost efficiency, workload management, and overall platform scalability
  • Support cloud and hybrid data architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
  • Enable advanced analytics initiatives including AI/ML and real-world evidence (RWE) data applications
  • Establish best practices for data lifecycle management including ingestion, retention, and archival strategies
Requirements

This role requires a highly experienced data architecture professional with strong technical expertise in Snowflake and cloud data ecosystems, ideally within regulated industries such as healthcare or medical devices.

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake architecture, optimization, and performance tuning
  • Deep knowledge of data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized, data vault)
  • Strong programming and data engineering skills in SQL and Python
  • Experience building and orchestrating data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience working in regulated environments (medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare preferred)
  • Understanding of healthcare and regulatory standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 13485, IEC 62304 (preferred)
  • Exposure to healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM (nice to have)
  • Experience with data governance and catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica (preferred)
  • Strong architectural thinking and ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or Advanced) are a plus
Benefits
  • 100% remote working model based in India
  • Contract role with potential extension based on performance and business needs
  • Flexible working hours aligned with global teams (IST evening shift)
  • Opportunity to work on regulated, high-impact healthcare and medical device data systems
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, AI/ML, and real-world evidence initiatives
  • Collaborative, cross-functional international work environment
  • Competitive contract-based compensation (market aligned)
  • Opportunity to work with modern cloud data platforms and enterprise-scale Snowflake architectures
