Job Description

Manager, Social Media & Digital Strategy

Our client a cutting edge digitally lead Hospital is looking to hire for a a forward-thinking and impact-driven Manager, Social Media & Digital Strategy to lead and elevate the Foundation’s digital presence. This role is accountable for driving engagement, audience growth, and brand visibility through integrated, multi-channel strategies.

The successful candidate will own digital performance across channels, using data and insights to continuously optimize content, campaigns, and overall effectiveness. This role requires strong judgment, collaboration, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This role leads the strategy, planning, and execution of the Foundation’s digital ecosystem—including social media, email marketing, and digital initiatives—with a focus on engagement, conversion, and audience expansion.



Digital Strategy, Engagement & Performance
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated digital and social media strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Drive audience growth, engagement, and conversions across all digital channels

  • Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks, with accountability for achieving and exceeding targets - with accountability for achieving and exceeding targets, including quarterly performance reporting

  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance across social, email, web, and paid channels

Social Media Management & Content
  • Own and manage all day-to-day content for the Foundation’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)

  • Plan, create, and publish high-quality, engaging content across platforms that is relevant, aligned with current initiatives, and includes clear, compelling calls to action

  • Conceptualize, film, and produce social-first content including reels and short-form video

  • Provide live, on-site social media coverage of Foundation signature events, community events, and fundraising initiatives

  • Manage community engagement across platforms, ensuring timely and brand-aligned responses

  • Conduct monthly audits of social media performance and optimize accordingly

Audience Development & Digital Growth
  • Lead audience segmentation and targeting strategies to support personalized engagement

  • Partner with Database & Donor Systems and IT teams to leverage data insights

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow digital audiences and supporter base

  • Identify opportunities to amplify reach through stakeholders, partners, and community networks

Digital Campaigns & Fundraising Integration
  • Lead integrated digital campaigns supporting fundraising, events, and organizational priorities

  • Align digital strategy with direct response and fundraising initiatives

  • Support donor acquisition, stewardship, and conversion through digital channels

  • Leverage social, email, and web to support Signature Events, Community Events, and Giving Circles

  • Audit the current state of social and digital as it relates to Events promotion and implement a strategy for collaborating with sponsors, vendors, donors, and other stakeholders

Email Marketing
  • Develop and execute email marketing strategies to drive engagement, stewardship, and fundraising

  • Create and manage multiple email campaigns per month

  • Support copywriting, design, scheduling, and deployment of email communications

  • Utilize A/B testing to evaluate campaign performance, leveraging insights and data-driven results to continuously optimize content, targeting, and overall effectiveness

  • Monitor and report on performance metrics

Website & Content Management
  • Create and publish blog posts and landing pages optimized for engagement and SEO

  • Support ongoing website updates and user experience improvements

  • Ensure digital content aligns with brand, messaging, and campaign objectives

Google Grant & Agency Management
  • Oversee and optimize the Google Ad Grant account

  • Act as primary liaison with external agency partners

  • Provide strategic direction and ensure performance against KPIs

  • Evaluate agency effectiveness and identify opportunities for optimization

Executive & Stakeholder Communications
  • Manage the CEO’s personal social media presence, aligning tone and voice with leadership positioning

  • Exercise discretion and integrity in all executive communications

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to amplify reach and engagement

Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure compliance with AODA, CASL, and Law 25 requirements

  • Maintain a strong understanding of digital best practices and emerging trends

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively across Marketing, Events, and Philanthropy / fundraising teams

  • Align digital efforts with broader organizational campaigns and initiatives

  • Manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure

Innovation, Testing & AI-Enabled Strategies
  • Leads a culture of testing and innovation across direct response campaigns, continuously exploring new approaches to improve performance.

  • Identifies and implements opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance segmentation, personalization, and campaign optimization.

  • Tests new channels, tactics, and creative approaches to strengthen lead generation and revenue growth.

EXPERIENCE, ATTRIBUTES & CAPABILITIES
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, social media, or performance marketing roles

  • Proven success driving engagement, growth, and conversions across digital channels with a flair for creativity and innovation

  • Strong experience in content creation, including video and social-first formats

  • Experience managing email marketing, digital campaigns, agencies and vendor relationships

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to make data-based decisions to improve campaign performance

  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar is an asset

  • Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms is an asset

  • Proven ability to independently manage a portfolio of social media and digital programs

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • Experience leveraging or exploring data-driven and AI-enabled tools is an asset.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Results-oriented, proactive, and highly accountable.

  • Experience in nonprofit or healthcare fundraising is an asset.
