Shipping/Receiving at Turfco Manufacturing – Minneapolis, Minnesota

Position summary: Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preparing shipments for our customers both domestically and internationally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unload and unpack shipments of products
• Inspect shipments for damage and correct quantities
• Key in quantities and received items in the computer system
• Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
• Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
• Record receiving data in company databases both computers and packing slips
• Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
• Return damaged products to senders
• Monitor inventory levels
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Comply with all company processes, procedures, guidelines, quality directives and safety procedures
• Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Operate a forklift as required to move raw and finished goods

Qualifications:

• 1-2 Years of receiving experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Basic math and organization skills
• Detail-oriented mindset
• Data entry and computer skills
• Forklift certification is necessary for unloading large shipments (Sit down and stand up preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of safety protocols and requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand entire shift
• Requires routine lifting, bending, leaning, kneeling, etc.
