Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts ongoing evaluation of clinical processes to ensure effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
- Receives requests for admissions and transfers and works with nursing units and PCC to identify the best available bed placement based upon the patient’s needs, level of care required and infection control principles.
- Maintains patient throughput within the health system - continually evaluating placement progress through proactive management of admission and transfer requests.
- Monitors and manages the timely turn-around of beds for the purpose of continuous performance improvement.
Qualifications
AnMed will accept applications from Graduate Nurses that meet SC LLR criteria.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in South Carolina with a minimum of three years of nursing experience.
- ADN candidates must be enrolled in BSN program within 18 months of hire date. BSN is required within 4 years from date of hire.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize patient placement of various acuities and from varied internal and external settings.
**AnMed associate degree Nurses (ADN) who were hired as RNs prior to January 1, 2013, and continue to work as an acute care Staff Nurse since that date, were “grandfathered” and the requirement to obtain BSN within four (4) years does not apply**
