Data Analytics Intern at Bankers Financial Corp – St. Petersburg, Florida

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our FP&A and Revenue Operations team. This role provides hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and performance insights within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The intern will work closely with the Sr. Director of FP&A and Revenue Operations on data modeling, revenue reporting, and business performance analysis to support strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Visualization:
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to uncover trends in revenue performance, operational efficiency, and business metrics.

Revenue and Operations Insights:
Support ongoing projects focused on forecasting, pipeline analysis, and performance reporting across multiple business units, leveraging both internal and external data sources.

Business Intelligence & Automation:
Help develop dashboards and automated reporting tools using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to improve visibility into KPIs and decision-making processes.

Predictive Modeling & Trend Analysis:
Collaborate with the team to build and refine predictive models that identify revenue drivers and forecast business outcomes using tools such as Python, SQL, or similar analytics platforms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with teams across Finance, Sales, and Operations to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.

Presentation Support:
Assist in preparing data-driven presentations and summaries for leadership, highlighting key performance insights and operational trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
• Proficiency in Excel and data visualization; experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
• Understanding of data modeling, forecasting, and key business performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
• Highly organized with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.
