JOB TITLE: Project Manager
LOCATION: Santa Barbara, CA
POSITION SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for getting the project over the finish line. The position directs the team, makes quick decisions, and ensures strategic project goals are met. The Project Manager must aim for effective communication, maintain high team morale, navigate potential hurdles/bottlenecks, delegate tasks, and drive project completion to achieve a successful project. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Manages the project, planning, launch/execution, monitoring & control, and project closure.
- Facilitate retrospective meeting & project closure report.
- Acts as the "interpreter" between different stakeholders (departments) to ensure everyone is aligned to the project’s goals.
- Coordinate schedules and logistics for project meetings.
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage spreadsheets, project and facility budgets, and project documentation.
- Follows up on pending actions, root cause, and potential change management from Team Impact meetings.
- Locates research-related documents as they pertain to supporting projects.
- Directs and coordinates activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
- Foresees potential challenges and makes mid-project adjustments to navigate obstacles.
- Conference with project personnel to provide advice and to resolve problems.
- Oversee the facility maintenance of buildings and grounds (i.e., repair tasks, security, HVAC, plumbing, space planning, electrical, landscaping). Responds timely to facility ticket requests and provides follow-up.
- Handles details of a confident nature and performs administrative functions based on an understanding of company policy, executives' views, and philosophy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in resource management or a related role, preferably in a project-based environment.
- Ability to assess team strengths and delegate tasks to the person best equipped to complete the tasks.
- Ability to communicate the initiative from start to finish while making critical decisions.
- Experience utilizing resource management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to take full accountability for a project outcome.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze resource-related costs and budgets.
- Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation, and optimization principles and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or similar.
