This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage multiple transmission and distribution projects, overseeing all phases from planning through execution. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The position involves mentoring project teams, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will be responsible for monitoring performance metrics, controlling construction risks, and implementing solutions that enhance project outcomes. Success in this role requires balancing multiple priorities while driving team accountability and maintaining a high standard of technical and operational excellence. Accountabilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of transmission and distribution projects, including execution, contract administration, planning, and resource management.
  • Take ownership of project performance, encompassing safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure accountability and professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, functional leads, and project partners.
  • Identify, track, and control project risks, changes, and issues to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and analyses to communicate project status and support decision-making.
  • Continuously analyze challenges and implement solutions to improve efficiency and project results.
Requirements:
  • BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or a management/business degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in the electric utility industry, including engineering, construction, or planning.
  • 7+ years of experience specifically in project management of utility transmission projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and serve as a client liaison.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work well in team-based environments.
  • Valued but not required: engineering design experience, PMP certification, construction and start-up experience.
