Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Foster a strong culture of employee safety while ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards and all applicable federal and state EHS regulations.
  • Provide strategic leadership and professional development for area managers, supervisors, and front-line leaders to achieve daily, monthly, and annual operational objectives.
  • Direct production operations to deliver high-quality components/assemblies in compliance with customer requirements
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day shop floor execution, ensuring jobs flow efficiently through machining, special processes, inspection, and downstream processes
  • Lead daily board walks monitoring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Equipment, Inventory, Productivity KPI's are met
  • Enforce quality standards by ensuring routers, inspection plans, in-process checks, and documentation are followed in accordance with AS9100D requirements.
  • Ensure the reliability and operational readiness of plant facilities, equipment and critical infrastructure through robust preventative maintenance programs
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Operational Excellence initiatives and tools
  • Define, implement, and revise operational policies and guidelines for the organization in support of the Management Operating System
  • Work with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel and ensure compliance with employee training programs
  • Work with the human resources department to develop and implement staff evaluation parameters
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve drawing questions, material constraints, and process issues.
  • Ensure sufficient communication of information between all levels of the organization and the implementation of strategies.
  • Adhere to financial budgets and cost control, ensuring cost effectiveness and spending throughout the organization.
  • Acts as a strategic partner for customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services
  • Participate in production and leadership meetings, providing accurate shop-floor status and technical input.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Proven capability to lead teams with high emotional intelligence—resolving conflict, setting expectations, and maintaining morale under production pressure
  • At least five (10) years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • 5-8 years of CNC Machining and/or metal fabrication experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee be a US Person, US Citizen
  • Prior Plant Mgr or GM experience preferred
  • Strong written, oral and analytical skills
  • Sharp data analytics skills (data science, business intelligence, data visualization, etc.)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • ERP implementation experience desired

  • Flexibility to travel up to 10% of the time

Physical Requirements

  • Must wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and appropriate footwear.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs throughout the workday.
  • Position requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and physical exertion occasionally.
