About the Role
The Gaming Platform Engineer contributes to the development and evolution of our core gaming platforms. This role focuses on building and maintaining the foundational systems that support game software, cabinet integration, and regulatory-ready releases. The gaming platform is the backbone of everything we deliver. This role ensures that games run reliably, integrate seamlessly with hardware, and meet regulatory expectations, protecting product quality, time-to-market, and customer trust. The Platform Engineer understands system dependencies, and is ready to grow into broader platform ownership within a highly regulated gaming environment.

• Collaborate with game development, QA/SDET, and Technical Compliance teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance readiness
• Implement features and enhancements that improve performance, stability, and scalability
• Diagnose and resolve platform-level issues across software and hardware boundaries
• Support integration of platform services with game content and peripheral components
• Contribute to build, deployment, and release workflows in coordination with R&D teams
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to promote quality and maintainability
• Document platform behavior, interfaces, and system dependencies

What Success Looks Like
• Platform systems are stable, predictable, and well-understood
• Issues are identified and resolved before impacting regulatory submissions or field deployments
• Engineering partners trust the platform as a reliable foundation
• Platform changes integrate smoothly with games, cabinets, and QA validation
• Technical knowledge is documented and shared effectively

What You Bring
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or platform development roles
• Experience working on core systems, frameworks, or shared services
• Proficiency C++ required
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system dependencies, and debugging techniques
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional engineering teams
• Comfort operating in environments where software interfaces with hardware
• Bachelor’s Degree or related experience

Nice to Have
• Experience in gaming, embedded systems, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with Linux real-time systems or performance-sensitive applications
• Experience supporting build, deployment, or release pipelines
• Exposure to regulatory considerations or compliance-driven development
• Understanding of manufacturing or field deployment environments
• Problem-solver who think in terms of stability, scale, and risk
