- Provide counsel on labor and employment matters, including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, anti-discrimination laws, and workplace investigations
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a broad range of commercial contracts, including vendor, sales, service, NDA, freelance, and licensing agreements
- Manage intellectual property-related issues for developed and licensed software
- Advise on corporate governance, organizational structure, entity management, internal policies, and compliance matters
- Oversee employment-related claims, demands, and litigation, collaborating with external counsel when needed
- Develop, implement, and refine legal department processes to ensure efficiency and risk mitigation
- Stay up to date on federal, state, and international laws to proactively manage legal exposure
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state; California licensure strongly preferred
- 47 years of legal experience, with significant in-house or law firm exposure in labor & employment, commercial contracts, and organizational/corporate matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business guidance
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, solution-focused approach
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and high attention to detail
- Experience with international labor and employment law or cross-border contract negotiations
- Familiarity with legal technology solutions for contract management and compliance
- Prior experience in professional services, digital marketing, or related industries
- California licensure or experience practicing in California
